The latest development of control technology of wind power generation system

This paper gives an overview on the trend of development and application of wind power generation system (WPGS); analyzes the nonlinearity characteristics of WPGS caused by the stochastically variable wind speed and the impact of nonlinearity characteristics on the performance of WPGS; sums up the achievements and methods of optimal control, variable structure control, Hx control, fuzzy logic control and neural network control applied in the control of WPGS; emphatically analyzes the robustness of the nonlinear control and intelligent control; and proposes some problems to be solved.
