A Low Complexity 16QAM Based on Geometric Shaping for Fiber Optics Transmission System

A low complexity geometrically-shaped (GS) 16QAM is proposed in order to obtain the shaping gain effectively. The simulation results show that the proposed GS-16QAM outperforms the regular 16QAM in the aspect of mutual information (MI). © 2020 The Author(s)
