Acoustic cavity has been selected as stabilization device to control high-frequency combustion instabilities in liquid rocket engine combustors or gas turbines. Damping capacity of the acoustic cavity varies depending on geometric configuration and it is measured by impedance tube. To compare the results of acoustic damping capacity at the specific resonance frequency, quantitative analyses were made in two geometrically different cases. Small number of cavity with large orifice area and large number of one with small orifice area showed better damping effect. Finally, it is proved that careful design process is needed to optimize the number and volume of the cavity.
