간접 냉각 방식 MGO Cooler의 운전 제어 특성 평가

Recently, An effort to reduce the air pollution are proceeding not only onshore but also offshore. Nations of the world are adopted the regulations for reduction in air pollution near the coast. MGO(Marine Gas Oil) is generally used in the ship sailing near the coast instead of HFO(Heavy Fuel Oil) for a fuel of main engine to comply with regulations. But MGO viscosity is lower than that of criteria suggested by engine maker. So MGO cooler is used to adjust MGO viscosity by controlling its temperature. In this study, We try to find problems and improvements through the performance evaluation of the heat exchanger for indirect type MGO cooler system. Test results that MGO cooler satisfied with its performance, and MGO viscosity measured from 3 to 5 Cst which is a sufficient viscosity for using an engine. Hot-gas bypass is equipped with MGO cooler for coping with a suddenly decreased loads. And MGO cooler is controlled by MGO temperature which is demanded at the engine fuel system.
