Implementation of Hybrid Wired/wireless Foundation Fieldbus

Hybrid used with wired fieldbus is the important developing and application direction of wireless fieldbus. Wireless Foundation Fieldbus is based on IEEE802.11. It can be hybrid used with Foundation Fieldbus in different ways: hybrid between networks and between devices in a H1 field network segment. Hybrid networks can be implemented by different interconnection devices. Hybrid H1 field network segment can be implemented by an unified communication mechanism and a interconnecting method which integrating bridge and repeater. The analysis shows that the implementation can satisfy the performance requirements of the different hybrids.
