On the FEM Modeling and Contact Analysis of Fir Tree Attachment in Blade Disk Assemblies

A hertz contact problem was solved by means of finite element method(FEM),whose numeri-cal solution was in good agreement with the analytic one,and the solving process and difficulty of contact problem were confirmed.Then a set of FE models with different grids of fir tree attachment with three teeth was established to analyze the contact stress.It indicated that there was high stress gradient near the edges of contact zone,and the numerical solution of contact stress depended on the grid density.At the same time,some conclusions useful for engineering application were obtained.
