Low magnetic biased SIW-based isolator: Effect of the rising temperature on the performance of the isolator

Two port resonant isolators are more compact and cheaper than circulator, but necessitate high magnetic bias. A new SIW-based isolator is proposed here. Using the ferrite slab mode, which enable operation at lower magnetic bias, an isolation of about 40dB with reasonable insertion losses were achieved. Operation at higher temperature is then analyzed, showing the effects on the performance of the isolator.
