Apparatus and method for selecting access network in multi wireless communication network

PURPOSE: A method for selecting an access network in a multiple wireless communication network and a method therefor are provided to supply information on connectable networks to a user among information stored at a mapping table when communication is requested, and to communicate with a specific network selected by a user. CONSTITUTION: A wireless terminal maintains a standby state(500). An upper layer of the wireless terminal checks whether a generated event is a setup request of an access node(502). If so, an ANS(Access Network Selector) of the terminal displays a setup method of the access node(506). The upper layer checks whether an automatic selection is requested(508). If not, the upper layer checks whether a user selection request exists(512). If so, the wireless terminal initializes a selection of the access node according to stored information(514). The terminal retrieves connectable access nodes based on a signal inputted by a user(516). If a specific network is selected, the terminal attempts connecting with an access node of the selected network(518).
