Application of resonance demodulation in rolling bearing fault feature extraction based on fast computation of kurtogram

The resonance demodulation is an important method in rolling bearing fault feature extraction and fault diagnosis.But the traditional resonance demodulation method needs to select proper parameters of a band-pass filter(center-frequency and band-width),it has many shortcomings,such as,uncertainty and limitation.Here,the fast computation of a kurtogram was used to choose parameters of a band-pass filter,and it was combined with the resonance demodulation and used for rolling bearing fault feature extraction.It was shown that the method is superior to the traditional resonance demodulation method.Finally,simulation and test results verified the effectiveness of the proposed method.
