A Scalable WebRTC Platform based on Open Technologies

WebRTC is a joint effort of the IETF RTCWeb and the W3C WebRTC working groups for real time communications through the web. This paper proposes a WebRTC platform for interactive multimedia communication. The platform is based on open technologies and provides an ubiquitous conferencing service which may be used to support multi-point e-Iearning/e-meeting activities. The platform also takes advantage of the potential of cloud computing to achieve scalability. The iterative design of the platform architecture is exposed and some preliminary results in scalability analysis are outlined.
