iii ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS I am indebted to my committee members, Kevin Brooks and Joe Lambert for their insight and guidance in helping me articulate the importance of digital storytelling in schools. I would like to thank my immensely talented and supportive classmates in the IDT program, especially Engin, Karyn and Zuley. I will miss collaborating with them and making late night runs to Checkers and Krispy Kreme. Without the help of Georgia Tech's Center for the Enhancement of Teaching and Learning (CETL), I would not have been able to gain additional teaching experience at the middle and high school levels, as well as complete a large part of the analysis section.
