Research on Travel Mode Choice Behavior in Shanghai-Hangzhou Transport Corridor

With the completion of the Dedicated Shanghai-Hangzhou Passenger Line,the existing transport pattern within the corridor will break up,and the structure of the multi-modal transport system in the corridor is about to change.In this paper,based on SP and RP surveys of passenger in the Shanghai-Hangzhou transport corridor,we analyse the composition of the corridor passengers and their characteristics of travel mode choice behavior,establish a disaggregate multinomial Logit model as the passengers' mode choice model,then calibrate the trip utility function parameters of various passenger colonies grouped by the income separately.With this model,we estimate the share rates of various modes of transport and the passenger composition of the Dedicated Passenger Line corresponding to each of the preestablished service level alternatives after the Dedicated Shanghai-Hangzhou Passenger Line is put into operation.Then we educe the rational orientation of the Dedicated Passenger Line in the Shanghai-Hangzhou transport corridor,and give suggestions on the fare and train interval from the perspective of harmonious development and orderly competition among the transport modes.
