Notice of RetractionThe Analysis of Resisting Wind for UHV Transmission Tower with Unequal Legs

Due to comply with current environmental requirements, the transmission tower with unequal legs are more often used in recent years. 500 KV linear transmission tower with unequal legs was taken as the research object. The histories of wind speed are simulated by adopting the harmony superposition method. The displacements of tower, the support reaction and the axial force of the tower are calculated with ANSYS under the four incidences of wind load. The analysis shows that different wind attack angles have a great effect on the displacements of tower, the support reaction and the axial force of tower, among which the attack angle of 45o has the most significant effect on the displacement of tower, but the support reaction and the axial force of tower have the maximum values with the attack angle of 90°.
