Analysis of Short Bifilar Helix Element Rotated Array Using Moment Method

This paper presents the analysis of radiation characteristics of a bifilar helix array on the infinite conducting plane using mixed potential integral equation,and the equation is solved by the moment method incorporating with curved piecewise triangle sub-domain basis and pulse testing functions.With the derivation of the relationship between array and axial ratio,a method for the optimization of axial ratio is given.The analysis proved that it can achieve good circular polarization.The results of this paper′s analysis is closed to the measured results.
