Study on Simulation System of Virtual Number Control Machine Tool and its Realization

Virtual manufacturing(VM) based on virtual reality technology is an essential realization to practical manufacturing.The architecture of virtual number control machine tool system(VNCMTS) and the key technologies in this system were studied.Some software development kits,such as Visual C++ and OpenInventor, were used to realize the VNCMTS.This system affords some important simulation functions,including virtual assembling,virtual lathing and the simulation to the cutter's temperature field.The application instance of CK6430 produced by Shanghai machine tool factory was given.The developing direction of VM was put forward.
