Les patients hospitalisés en psychiatrie ont-ils un médecin traitant ?

Alors qu’une comorbidite somatique etait reperee pour pres de la moitie des 459 patients hospitalises dans un etablissement psychiatrique parisien lors d’une enquete par questionnaire, seuls 26,4 % de l’echantillon et 29,1 % de ceux ayant une comorbidite somatique avaient un medecin traitant identifiable. La probabilite d’identifier un medecin etait independante de la presence ou non d’une pathologie somatique connue. Trois facteurs − diagnostic psychiatrique F20-29, duree de sejour longue et incapacite a repondre a un questionnaire sans aide − etaient lies de facon significative (p < 0,0001) a l’impossibilite d’identifier un medecin traitant. Les auteurs soulignent l’interet de liens plus etroits entre la psychiatrie et la medecine de ville.
