AN APPROACH TO NEW DEFINITION OF THE OPTIMAL VACUUM IN CONDENSERS

The limitations existing in application of the traditional definition for optimal vacuum in condensers based on thermal eco- nomic efficiency in environment of electric power market have been expounded,a new definition of optimal vacuum in condensers based on maximum profit being put forward,the mutual relation between two definitions of optimal vacuum being analysed.Taking 2×300 MW turbo-generator sets as example,the concrete applying method of the new definition in practice of power-generating operation has been explained.
