Secure communication in WMSN

A Wireless Multimedia Sensor Network (WMSN) is a network of wirelessly interconnected devices i.e. sensor nodes that are able to retrieve data from environment in the form of audio/video streams, still images and scalar sensor data. Secure routing in WMSNs faces more challenges than those in traditional sensor networks because of multiple sink nodes and their mobility. In this paper a new method has been proposed to make the communication secure b/w wireless sensor nodes by means of encryption and Watermarking scheme. Ultra Wide Band(UWB) signaling technique is used because it provides signal with high data rate, low transmission energy, difficulty in interception, multipath immunity and low cost. The probability of false positive occurrence in the proposed scheme was found to be 38% less than that in SVD-based schemes.
