Turbulence Control and Synchronization and Controllable Pattern Formation

Pattern and turbulence control and synchronization are investigated by considering the model of the complex Ginzburg–Landau equation. It is shown that in fully-developed turbulence region, when a large number of positive Lyapunov exponents exists, in the presence of a large gradient force, we can drive the system to various desired spatiotemporal patterns, and control and synchronize violent turbulence by applying convenient boundary control technique.
