Fabrication and characterization of a volumetric three-dimensional display using ion-exchanged integrated waveguides

The use of ion-exchanged waveguides to address the voxel emitters of a volumetric three-dimensional display promises to be a reasonable high-volume, high-resolution fabrication technique. We report on the fabrication and initial characterization of a first prototype of this novel display architecture.
