An Alternative Approach for Calculation of Braking Force of an Eddy-Current Brake

We have analyzed an eddy-current brake (ECB), using calculations based on the Fourier transform method. Here, we compare our results with test results and numerical results of the finite-element code ANSYS 11.0. We use our model to study the influence of certain design parameters on the torque-speed characteristics.
