The invention provides a user-based audience rating correcting method and device. The method comprises the steps that the user access quantity of a first video on that day is determined; the user access quantity on that day is corrected according to preset conditions; the preset conditions are user judgment conditions of abnormal access on that day; according to the corrected user access quantity on that day, the completion degree of each user watching the first video on that day and the website visiting total quantity on that day, an audience rating value is obtained. By the adoption of the user-based audience rating correcting device, abnormal factors in samples can be removed during audience rating calculation, and therefore the calculation result accuracy is improved.
