Piezoelectric polymers

Polymers with piezoelectric and pyroelectric properties that make them useful for biomedical applications and devices are considered. The characteristics of such polymers are examined, and transducers made from them are discussed. Laboratory developments of devices using piezoelectric polymers are briefly reviewed, and the slowness of product development in this area is commented on.<<ETX>>
