Ordering temperatures in ferrofluids

Abstract The Monte Carlo method has been used to investigate the variation of ordering temperature with particle diameter for a magnetic fluid. It is proposed that this variation is due to an increase in local spatial ordering of particles within the fluid, brought about by interparticle interactions.
