Real time bus load processing

Abstract This paper discusses a real time bus load processing algorithm derived and implemented by Florida Power Corporation (FPC). The algorithm is used in the FPC load flow program (CEP) that executes in the energy control center computer. It calculates a bus load MW and MVAR value for each load bus modeled in CEP using relevant telemetered line flows and modified network tree processing techniques. The algorithm is reasonably fast in execution for the approximately 900 buses and 1100 lines modeled by CEP.
