Induction motor variable inductance parameter identification

Paper derives a procedure of identifying induction machine variable inductance values. Parameter identification is done from measurements during no-load direct start acceleration. Genetic algorithm is used for parameter identification. It is used to minimise least squares difference between calculated and measured data by selecting parameters of induction motor model. Variable inductance is identified by dividing measured data into intervals and repeating identification procedure for every interval. Results for different identification settings are presented and compared.
