This study was applying R134a and R1234yf in refrigeration truck refrigeration system. Also, refrigeration truck was affected to performance of system due to frost growth in evaporator because of operated in low temperature condition. Therefore, this study was analyzed performance of system according to frost growth in various outdoor and indoor air temperature applying R134a and R1234yf in refrigeration truck refrigeration system. As a result, the indoor side air temperature rises from 1℃ to 9℃, the COP of R134a and R1234yf system increased 11.9% and 5.5% with the operating time of the initial, respectively. The frost layer of R134a and R1234yf system for 9℃ increased 1.81 mm and 1.80 mm with the lapse of time. And as the outdoor side air temperature rises from 25℃ to 35℃, the COP of R134a and R1234yf system decreased 16.4% and 17.6% with the operating time of the initial, respectively and the frost layer on average decreased 5.3% and 1.5%, respectively. The results of this study is developed analysis model predictable the performance of refrigeration truck refrigeration system applying alternative refrigerant and intend to provide basic information about the performance of system.
