Model reference adaptive guidance for trajectory correction projectile

A model reference adaptive (MRA) guidance method is proposed for a kind of laser trajectory correction projectile. In interception practice, a laser trajectory correction projectile should be set an expected trajectory program firstly, then the correction command is formulated and force the projectile flying along the expected trajectory. Thus the presented MRA guidance law is set up to resist the flight environmental disturbance, and an adaptive algorithm using terminal sliding mode approach is detailed to stabilize the line-of-sight (LOS) and converge it into a small stable region. A simulated example validated and showed the superiority for the presented method in measurement noise resistance.
