Generation of instantaneous maps of ionospheric characteristics

A way of producing limited-area instantaneous maps of ionospheric characteristics is shown. An interpolation technique is applied for construction of the mapping model. The model combines monthly median maps of ionospheric characteristics and a set of measurements for a single moment of time that are exactly replicated during the mapping procedure. The accuracy of the mapping results is discussed, and samples of maps for different geophysical conditions for ƒoF2, ƒoF1,ƒoE and M(3000)F2 are presented.
