Time and Delay Efficient Algorithm using Fuzzy Logic in Wireless Sensor Networks

Wireless sensor networking is an emerging technology that promises a wide range of potential applications in various regions. Large number of low cost, low power and multi-functional sensor nodes are deployed in wireless sensor network depending upon region of interest. Initially many challenges were faced by wireless sensor networks mainly caused by communication failures, storage and computational constraints and limited power supply . The individual sensors are battery operated and the lifetime of the sensors depends mainly on duty cycle of these sensors. After analysis on WSN it was decided that communication module is the main part which consumes most of the sensor energy and that is why energy conservation is the main goal. By using many different types of algorithm the lifetime of a network can be maximized. Here firstly we have studied different algorithms like TR, ETR, MTR, Trust based algorithm and then applied fuzzy logic in MTR and Trust based algorithm in order to decrease the power consumption and delay.
