The mass—Energy balance of anaerobic methane production

A theory was developed for the mass and energy balance of microbial processes, with special reference to the anaerobic production of methane. Interrelations of the bioengineering parameters of the process were delineated substrate quality, biodegrability and biological effciency of anaerobic processing of complex organic waste substrates. Application of the method is demonstrated on practical examples.
