GDOP Analysis for Positioning Design

A practical indoor system used for tracking people is typically based on both fixed anchor nodes and mobile nodes attached to people or other objects. In this mode of operation, mobile nodes whose position coordinates have been previously determined can contribute to the position determination of other mobile nodes whose position is sought. While a design can specify the location of the anchor nodes for adequate position performance, the mobile nodes’ positions can only be specified in a statistical sense.
