Theory and implementation method based on PCI reverberation elimination algorithm

For the active sonar operating in the reverberation-limited environment, reverberation is one of main factors restricting the performance exertion. How to effectively suppress or weaken the reverberation has academic and practical meanings to enhance the detection capabilities of the active sonar. The signal subspace theory named Principal Component Inverse (PCI) of the reverberation estimation method realizes the separation of the reverberation and signal in the reverberation suppression area, and a reverberation subspace method is proposed. The practical sea trial data analysis shows that the method can effectively delete the reverberation of receiving signals and is beneficial to improve the detection performance under the reverberation limited environment.
