MCN: a conflict notification and duty cycle adjustment based MAC protocol for multi-radio wireless sensor networks

Aimed at hidden terminal and control channel main problem,a conflict notification and multi-control-channel Reservation based MAC protocol were designed,called MCN.Using dynamic duty cycle adjustment based and sensitive conflict notification mechanism,MCN handles hidden terminal and control channel bottleneck problem with multi-control-channel reservation efficiently.To investigate the performance of multi-control-channel reservation and dynamic duty cycle adjustment based and sensitive conflict notification mechanism,extensive simulations are conducted.The experimental results show that,MCN can adapt to data payload;Compared to single control channel based MAC protocols,the network throughput of MCN is high;Compared to MAC protocols without using sensitive conflict inform or dynamic duty cycle adjustment mechanism,the energy efficiency is high.
