"Passion Lives Here": l'esperienza del Centro Regionale di Documentazione sul Farmaco di Torino ai Giochi Olimpici invernali

Passion lives here": experience of Drug Information Centre of Turin during Olympic Winter Games The Regional Drug Information Centre (RDIC) of Turin, man- aged by the Pharmaceutical Service of Turin ASL 1, has been working since 1969, reaching a large experience in drug informa- tion, particularly about ADRs, drug interactions, drug utilization and drug use in pregnancy. During Olympic and Paralympic Win- ter Games 2006 in Turin, the RDIC had offered its service to for- eign people requiring information about substitution of medicines they use at home. Thanks to the enthusiastic support of the stu- dents of the School of Specialization on Hospital Pharmacy of the University of Torino, the Centre's opening hours had been 9-20, daily, seven days a week. The results of this experience confirm the usefulness of a well established service and its acceptance among citizens and health professionals.
