Algebraic parameter estimation approaches for process control systems from sine responses

The sine signal is a special periodical signal which has single frequency component and is used widely in many research fields. This paper applies the sine signal as the driving signal to generate the observations and studies the parameter estimation for the first-order process control systems. The target of this paper is to propose the easy modeling techniques which can avoid complicated calculation. Drawing on the experience of solving algebraic equations, we put forward an algebraic estimation technique for estimating the parameters of process control systems. By means of the discrete sampled data points from the sine response observations, some equations containing the unknown parameters are constructed. Then the parameter estimates of models of the process control systems can be received. The experiment results show that the proposed technique for system modeling is easy and effective.
