Apparatus and method for managing quality of service in broadband wirelress communication system with multiple hop relay communication

PURPOSE: An apparatus for managing QoS and method thereof in a broadband wireless communication system that supports a multi-hop relay communication are provided to support a technique of multi-hop relay communication that assures a Qos of a terminal with a minimum change. CONSTITUTION: A controller(1008) assigns a first tunnel identifier that is replied with a service flow in a R8 GRE tunnel that is configured between a base station and a relay station for transmitting a data if a production of the service flow is requested from a terminal that is connected to the relay station. A modem(1004) transmits the first R8 GRE tunnel identifier that is allocated by the repeater station to the base station. The modem transmits a message that requests to establish the R6 GRE tunnel for the service flow that is between the base station and a control station to the base station.
