Scandium alkyl complex with phosphinimino-amine ligand: synthesis, structure and catalysis on ethylene polymerization.

The THF-free scandium dialkyl complex LSc(CH(2)SiMe(3))(2) (L = (2,6-iPr(2)C(6)H(3))NC(Me)CHPPh(2)N(2,6-Me(2)C(6)H(3))) bearing the phosphinimino-amine ligand was prepared, which under the activation of [Ph(3)C][B(C(6)F(5))(4)] initiated the polymerization of ethylene with high activity.
