Status of gasohol evaluation and its procurement within DOD

The 1980-81 Army Gasohol Evaluation Program consists of three phases: a Laboratory Characterization and Compatibility Phase, and Engine Durability Phase, and a Controlled Tactical Vehicle Fleet Test Phase. The result will be a military specification for procurement. A status review and preliminary results are summarized in five tables. Widespread gasohol use by the military will wait until the information from these and additional road testing in administrative vehicles is complete. (DCK)
