Multisim and its Application to Electronic Design

The paper introduces an EDA software Multisim (Multisim ) and the characteristics of its simulating functions. Through an illustration, ″the design and simulation of a counter, a decoder and a display circuit″, the method of simulation analysis by employing Multisim 2001 is showed. Then an example, ″the design and simulation of a 555 timer circuit″ is given to illustrate specific procedures of simulation analysis by using Multisim 7. The findings indicate that the integration of traditional design and EDA technology will be an innovation in electronic design.
