High power, medium voltage, modular active power filtering system

The paper presents the concept of 2 MVA, medium voltage active power filtering system. The system is modular, thus provides full scalability. All the power modules of the system share a special, unified topology of 3rd order LCL passive circuit, which together with predictive control provides very high filtering effectiveness and, at the same time, zero current ripples. This paper contains preliminary simulations. The full power, MV system is currently being applied.
