Measuring isotope ratios of large molecules using a swept external cavity quantum cascade laser

We measure isotope ratios for species with broadband absorption features using a swept external cavity quantum cascade laser. Isotopic precisions of ~10/00 (per mil) are demonstrated for methanol (MeOH/MeOD) and ethanol (EtOH/EtOD) vapor.
