Thispaperintroduces anoveldigital PFC(DPFC) control approach thatrequires no inputvoltage sensing or current loopcompensation, yetresults inlow-harmonic operation overa universal inputvoltage rangeandloadsranging from high-power operation incontinuous conduction modedownto near-zero load. Thecontroller isbasedonlow-resolution DPWM and A/D converters, requires no microcontroller or DSP programming, and iswellsuitedfora simple, low-cost integrated-circuit realization, orasanHDL coresuitable for integration withotherpowercontrol functions.
