Optimal Adaptive Control of an Electrical Drive System

The paper approaches an optimal adaptive control problem for an electrical drive system. Using some previous results referring to an easy implementable optimal controller, the authors develop an adaptive procedure, which can be applied when certain parameters of the electrical drive are modified. The estimation of the load torque is also considered. Theoretical and simulation results are presented.
