Reliability Analysis of New RMG Lifting Driving System Based on Correlation Theory

Due to the large number of components and complex structure of the new rail mounted container gantry crane (RMG) driving system, there always exists correlation between failure modes of components, so this paper proposes a system reliability analysis method based on mixed Copula, and the reliability analysis of lifting driving system of the new RMG is carried out. Firstly, according to the stress-strength interference theory, the functions of failure modes of components in lifting driving system are constructed, and the reliability calculation model of components is established considering the correlation of failure modes. Then, the reliability of components of the new RMG lifting driving system is analyzed and calculated by Monte Carlo sampling method. Finally, the reliability of the lifting driving system is calculated. Compared with the traditional design method, the results show that the reliability analysis method considering the correlation is more practical in engineering, the calculation results are more accurate, and the weak links of the system can be found out, which can provide reference for design decision.
