Research on Energy Consumption of Wireless Sensor Networks Based on Probability Event

It is significant to prolong lifetime of sensor nodes in wireless sensor networks. Markov chain is used to analyze the relationship between energy consumption and data transmission of wireless sensor networks, and a model of energy consumption is established. Experiments show that the transmission efficiency of the network decreases when the density of the nodes is large or the packet is long. So,according to the density of nodes, energy consumption could be reduced and the network lifetime could be prolonged by dynamically adjusting packet length.
