Research on control strategy of parallel synchronous inverters based on improved droop algorithm

In allusion to the shortcomings of traditional droop algorithm in synchronous inverter, an improved droop algorithm is applied to control synchronous inverters running in parallel. A model of synchronous inverters running in parallel is built in MATLAB/Simulink. The improved droop algorithm is combined with the model of synchronous generator to control two three-phase synchronous inverters running in parallel. Some simulations and experiments have been done on inverters parallel running system. The results of simulations and experiments show that the improved droop algorithm has good practicability in synchronous inverter control, can combine well with synchronous generator model to control parallel synchronous inverters to accomplish current and power sharing well, and can still improve the stability and dynamic performance of system, thus make the characteristics of synchronous inverter be more similar to that of synchronous generators.
