This is the first report of radioisotope scanning in parotid oncocytoma. This tumor showed increased concentration of sodium pertechnetate Tc 99m. Review of the recent literature indicates that benign tumors are "hot," while intermediate and malignant tumors are either normal, or "cold" on radioisotope scanning.
