Simulation analysis of deployment process of inflatable planar antenna structure

The method of segments inflatable control volume for inflatable support booms was present.The deployment process of the inflatable planar antenna(IPA) was simulated by LS-DYNA at the zero-gravity.Variations of volume and inner pressure in Z-folded inflatable support booms,dynamic characteristic of the upper beam,and wrinkle in the reflecting surface were analyzed.This prototype was developed.The results show that calculation can simulate the whole deployment process of the IPA,and offer the gist of the deployable prediction in the space.
