A Real-time Modeling of NC Milling Process under the Virtual Environment

Based on triangulation method of workpiece,a real-time modeling of NC milling process was developed.Local hunting algorithm was presented to find out the set of points that are cut and revise z-value of these points.Calculation of the normal vector of triangular plate was optimized during the re-drawing.A kind of displaying updating method was carried out to accelerate the speed of re-drawing.The example manifests,the proposed method raises the performance of NC milling simulation both in speed and displaying.
